Voici comment se présente l’écran de démarrage Symmetry. Il contient quelques informations de base, les options de menus les plus courants, ainsi qi’un lien direct vers la page de départ de ce manuel en ligne. Regardons tout cela plus en détail:

• Dans l’écran supérieur gauche, vous verrez la version actuelle de votre Symmetry. En général, il s’agira de la dernière version qui était disponible au moment de l’achat.
  En principe, nous vous conseillons de ne pas installer des nouvelles versions tant que vous ne rencontrez pas de problèmes.
  Quand vous signalez un problème de logiciel spécifique au service de support, cependant, il faudra qu’ils sachent dans quelle version de logiciel vous avez rencontré ce phénomène et treès souvent, ils vous demanderont d espécifier la version du logiciel dont vous disposez. Il y a des chances que d’autres utilisateurs auront rencontré le même problème, et si cela est le cas, ils vous demanderont de faire une mise à jour.
• Right behind the version number, you will find the software’s registration status. Once the software has been registered, the words “Not registered” in the above screenshot will be modified into “Registered”.

• In the middle of your screen, there are four shortcut buttons: “New Job”, “Open Existing”, “Tutorial Library”, and “Preferences”.
  • “New Job“ will have Symmetry turn to the main screen, opening a new blank job and the F5 Autoplate window. (If you are not familiar with some of these terms, don’t worry; we will explain them later.
  • ”Open Existing“ will open the dialog box in Symmetry, where you can browse through your folders and select any previously saved job on your computer.
  • Tutorial Library. The idea is to create a library of tutorial videos in a later stage, which you will be able to access through this button.
  • Preferences. This will give you access to a series of standard settings in Symmetry. For example, the plate size when starting a new job, or the fonts that are listed standard. When you are familiar with the program and your machine, you might want to modify these according to your own preferences.
