Necesitará el siguiente hardware y software para desarrollar y producir trabajos en Symmetry.

• Microsoft Windows 10 u 11
• 1 PC, teclado, ratón y un monitor. Si Symmetry tiene que funcionar simultáneamente con el teclado virtual Cyborg, y quiere que su PC forme parte de una LAN, entonces necesitará 2 puertos ethernet en el PC.
• Un puerto USB libre para instalar el software Symmetry.
• Una maquina de grabar Cyborg para la salida.

• Paso 1: Inicie el instalador
• ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Inserta el lápiz de memoria suministrado en el puerto USB de tu ordenador.
• Busque el lápiz de memoria de Symmetry y haga doble clic en el archivo “Symmetry-2.4.0.5.exe”. El número que aparece después de la palabra “Symmetry” indica el número de versión.

• Paso 2: Elija la ubicación de instalación adecuada.​​​​​
• ​​​​​​Por defecto, el instalador le sugerirá “C:\Symmetry” como carpeta de instalación. Si lo desea o si la política de seguridad de su organización lo requiere, también puede instalar el software en cualquier otra carpeta como “C:\Program Files\Symmetry” o cualquier otra carpeta de su elección. Para ello, haga clic en el botón “Examinar…” y seleccione la carpeta que desee.
  A continuación, haga clic en “Siguiente >”.

• Paso 3: Elegir componentes.
  En esta fase, el único componente que puede seleccionar es el propio software Symmetry. Como es obligatorio, esta opción aparece en gris y no puede anular su selección. Haga clic con el botón izquierdo del ratón en el botón “Instalar”.
  La barra de progreso verde se irá llenando hasta que la instalación haya finalizado.
  A continuación, haga clic en “Cerrar”.

• Paso 4: Crear un icono de acceso directo en el escritorio.
  Si la instalación no ha creado un icono de acceso directo en el escritorio, o si este acceso directo se ha eliminado accidentalmente, puede abrir el Explorador de Windows y buscar la carpeta del programa Symmetry. Desde esta carpeta, haga clic con el botón derecho en el archivo “Symmetry.exe” y haga clic en la opción “crear acceso directo”. A continuación, arrastre este nuevo icono de acceso directo al escritorio.

En este punto, el software Symmetry es totalmente operativo, excepto para la salida de sus archivos de grabado a la máquina. Básicamente, puede crear, abrir y modificar trabajos a su antojo, pero no podrá grabarlos. Para poder grabar, necesita registrar su licencia de software.

Symmetry provides you with a unique Engraver Code. This is the Mac address of the machine controller. The Mac address is a code consisting of letters and numbers, which is unique to any computer device. As such, the code is not transferable from one computer to another.

Every Cyborg engraving machine is supplied with a memory stick containing the release codes for both supplied softwares (Pendent software and Symmetry) for your specific machine.

• Step 1: Preparation.
  Make sure your computer is connected to the engraving machine and the ethernet parameters have been set properly. Your engraving machine has to be switched on.
• Step 2: Open the registration window.
  Launch the Symmetry software and click the “New Job” button. A new job screen is opened, along with the “Autolayout” window. Close the “Autolayout” by clicking the [X] in the upper right corner, then left-clicking on the Help menu, then on the “Register components” option.
• Step 3: Enter the release code:
  You will see a code after the text “Engraver Code:” In the example below this code is 682719E4B5F2. This is the Mac address of the controller inside your engraver. This is a unique code. There is no other engraver, printer, pc or any other computerized device with the same mac address worldwide. So the engraver code you see will be different for each individual engraving machine.
  The release code for Symmetry is identical to the release code for the pendent software. You will be able to find this code on the USB memory stick which you did receive with your machine.
  In order to be able to enter the release code in the Symmetry registration window the machine has to be switched on and connected to the PC, which has to be configured with the correct IP-address.
• After having entered the release code click the ‘Apply’ button. Symmetry will inform you that the software is now registered, and that you will have to close the program and restart it in order to work with the registered licence.
